We've made it to South America

Finally, South America. It's been over a year since we started our trip from Paris on August 3rd, 2008. This will be the last of the continents that we'll be hitting, so it has a feeling of the downhill side of the slope. We're rounding the corner for the ride home. Granted, we're not planning on being back for another 9 months or so, but still, there's something about hitting the milestone that puts it in some perspective.

Hey guys! We've finally made it to your blog! We hung up your post on our fridge and Chris told us about your short work/upgrade stint at the restaurant. Sounds so wonderfully fortuitous, cool and story like. Ahhh. I remember, too, what it was like to have a count of days left/months left in my head when overseas. It's kind of a balance between wanting to jump into a new adventure and wanting to make the one your in count even more. Much love to you both. Can we email you?

Rounding the corner for the ride home sounds good but there are MANY adventures that await and I am certain there are several continents that will welcome you in the years to come. Keep writing, keep exploring and keep loving each other.........
