Round 2; 8 days and counting

Monday morning here in what should be beautiful spring time Kansas City, but instead it is a beautiful, overcast, 40 degree day in Kansas City. In a way that is better. Keeps us focused on the task at hand; finishing an ever growing to do list. A deep chest cough and sore throat were an unexpected surprise this morning.

I am getting very excited. Time to lay out clothes and work on all the "essentials" (of course that includes a new and fabulous travellers spice kit) to make sure everything fits. I forgot about the excitement of anticipation. And how much fun a trip to Target can be when preparing for departure.

So far, ordered trip insurance, called the credit company for the 500th time (I am beginning to regret ever changing my last name and yes, that was almost 2 years ago), doing laundry, filing papers, and having trouble focusing at all. The task list is long, my mind is wondering and feeling a tad heavy from clogged sinus cavities, but what a great day! And only 8 more to go.
