Moving Day!

Today we moved into the apartment. The cute little closet we will call home for the next few months but a fabulous place to unpack and feel settled. It is a great feeling. And with a little, or a lot as it turns out, elbow grease we polished the unit up to my standards and went out to enjoy a good micro brew.

I will say, that I was absolutely amazed that after two washings by hand the floors still bled black with dirt. I have black feet, toes, knees, and my forearms are screaming from scrubbing, but it feels good to be cleaning our place. Thankfully, Todd tackled the kitchen: fry pans with old meat on them are not my cup of tea. He did a fabulous job.

So day 1 in the apartment: dedirting, and fluffing amazingly dusty blankets, picking up laundry, and most importantly loving the fact that it is ours for now. A new day, a new journey, and now a new reality of necessity in finding jobs.

Tomorrow, a new list of to-dos, but I don't care. I will wake up and use a toothbrush that is already unpacked. Glory Be!
